The location was great, next to a beach. Unfortunately quite often loud cars and bikes doing burnouts and donuts, having lots of noise and lighting fireworks.nnHas a small unheated pool and nice amenities.nnLots of boats and very big cars on a small park like this made it feel a bit like a car yard.nnPlayground is nice, but can't access directly from campground so young kids can't go on their own.nnWas promised two sites close to each other but were put 5 sites apart.nnHas an EV charger, but very expensive as it's paid per hour instead of kwh which is highly unusual. Paid about $1.25/kwh as it charged slowly. Not very friendly staff either, no compassion for this issue. Went to a QC in town to top up.nnWill not return and can't recommend.
We came here as a result of a failed holiday booking, fortuitously, as it happened. A roomy two bedroom plus a proper single bed in the lounge for the noisy banished. We had a problem with a door and the owners were onto it quickly.
Sitting right on the beach, this holiday park provides all the amenities. Our cabin was self-contained with on-suite, kitchen, and comfy bed. Easily found when coming from either New Plymouth or Bulls. Downtown is a short 10 min ride. The beach is an ideal swimming beach for all ages.
Excellent staff and very accommodating and very clean facilities, we stayed in non powered site for 2 nights. Kitchen and bathrooms very clean. Pool on site too.nClose to beach and great kids play area behind campsite.
We have stayed here several times now... both in the cabins and this last time tenting... The facilities are immaculately clean and the staff are friendly and helpful... My daughter enjoyed the pool and we will be staying here again when we are visiting Whanganui in the future.
