5 Star review for the fish section only, Great quality fish and are open to buying fish off breeders making breeding a lot more easier, I do notice some of the tanks can be over-crowded etc. Yet the water conditions are fine and they know what they are doing. Great customer service they are very helpful in the fish section. I do find the way they treat all the other animals cruel.
Too many animals kept in such small spaces. Stinks of urine in the store, staff don’t seem worried about the poor conditions that the animals are in. Was almost in tears when I saw large fish crammed in small tanks alongside other fish with zero room to move freely. Do better wet pets, this isn’t good enough. These are animals, living breathing things, they are not money making objects. Appalling.
Quite expensive for basic items such as cat litter. Animals looked quite miserable and cramped, the store was also quite messy. I did appreciate the staff members honesty about the pay wave surcharge though, I agree it certainly is a waste of money!
This store is the worst!! They sold my friend a cat for over $1000 knowing that it had a fatal heart condition, but chose not to tell anything about it. My friend is now paying thousands of dollars in treatment for the cat and the store will not pay any compensation or take accountability for their actions.
Our enclosures are fitted out from Wet Pets & Country Pets. Best range of products in NZ. Fantastic staff. Always extremely helpful.
This place is more than a pet store… it is a whole experience!!! My boys absolutely love Wet Pets and make me stop there whenever we drive past. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and always happy to go the extra mile, even when the request is coming from a child, which is something I admire. Store appearance is pretty impressive too… considering the amount of “mess” THAT many cuddly critters make everyday and if all else fails and nothing can brighten your day, a little hello from Mickey will change anyones tune!
Terrible place. Bought the animals bad condition to store owners attention and he did nothing but get hostile, yell and accused us of court action. $700+ on vet bills later the pet we Saved is now healthy no thanks to The owner. Owner offered to self medicate the animal which is illegal and we refused. Actually called the SPCA and was hung up on 5 times at the mention of wetpets. So that was unfortunate and unprofessional.
Amazing staff who were very helpful. They explained everything in detail and offered great advice
So helpful and great for information, we have some baby ducks and they gave us some great ideas for raising them, and feeding them .
Oh Gosh what is there not to like about Wet pets! My partner and I make it our fortnightly stop when dropping my kids back in palmy. Great team, shop and setup. The animals are looked after so well too. Super cool and a must visit for anyone going to Palmy
