I only recently discovered pet essentials. Nice range of pet stuff, good clean store. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful.

Disappointing to be discriminated against for having a mask exemption. I was told there were different rules that applied to me and I was not allowed in the store, i was told I could call on phone from outside the shop. When I asked why these rules were being implemented the staff did not know. If mask exemptions are acknowledged everywhere else why on earth is a pet shop making up their own rules? Definitely will not be supporting this business.
I gave 1 star as there is no option for 0 stars. I wouldn't bother shopping here. I intend to go elsewhere in future.
I not been inside the store yet but I love it cause it has a 24/7 K9000 dog wash machine that has all shampio flea shampoo condtion shampoo rince cycle for the dogs it enclosed so make it easyer to get dogs in and out with out roam the car park
Absolutely amazing service! The team has a lot of knowledge and gave me the best advice on all my questions and more! Highly recommended Pet Essentials for all your pet needs.
This is hands down the best pet store in Palmerston North. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the brands stocked are all high quality. There is always raw food available, and a wide variety of grain free and organic food and treats. Pets are allowed if they're on a leash, and the staff will happily interact with your critter and offer them treats.
I wouldnt want to ever visit this shop ever. The worst service and manager seems like she had been ripping people off. Maybe Commerce commission can be involved.
Really feels like the staff love animals. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Planning to try the DIY dog wash in the carpark.
