A great Museum situated in the Wharf area in a converted share house building. Over its 4 floors it covers the history of settlement and focuses on several events in the region. A well displayed collection of items and representations of rooms. Great for kids. There is a good shop and with free entry, well worth the visit.
Comfortable for visitor. A quite and pleasant place to spend your free time. Easy to find the place and the collection is complete enaugh.
Fantastic museum, highly recommend a stop and it's Freeeeee.n4 levels, more on the history of the warf and boats. Top floor is fun facts of history, with a time machine to show you though the ages.nAlso a story time play.nVery well done
No one should miss this place. It's brilliant, informative, innovative, interactive, cool, and so on.nnPlus it is absolutely free of charge. I highly recommend going there while in Wellington.nnThe museum is well designed, providing lots of hands on activities for children and adults. Great for School holidays. Would love to have more places for kids to do more crafts, even if we have to pay.
Fabulous experience well worth having a look when in Wellington while it’s free there is an option to give a koha donate. Every little bit helps keep this awesome place running.
