The property and the room we got was exceptional. We were given the Royal Suite, our bedroom and sitting room opened up to the views of the Mountains and lake. Was a surreal experience! The room had everything - microwave, electric kettle, enough coffee/tea sachets, the toilet was quite big with a jacuzzi with enough towels and toiletries. The beds were spacious and quite comfortable, the pillows perfect. We requested for 2 fans which were promptly provided to us. The location was fabulous, bang in the town, 2 mins from the lake and restaurants. Definitely a great place to stay and will stay here again when I visit Wanaka in future. Door lock in the toilet would be an important recommendation.
We enjoyed our one night stay at Wanaka hotel. The staff was very warm and hospitable. When we realised we had left our valuables a few hours after we had checked out, we returned back and the staff at the reception kindly helped us to retrieve everything. We are so thankful and I’m sorry that I did not get the lady’s name at the reception. Thank you once again appreciates Have a good one!
Pros: Great location right in the middle of town with lots of parking.nnCons: Pillows are all too fat and high, we both had sore necks from sleeping. Not very sound proof, we had very noisy upstairs neighbours who kept waking us at night. When we were trying to get ready to leave in the morning, house keeping kept knocking on the door asking to come in. This happened 4 times between 9.30-9.50am despite us saying we were leaving at 10am and trying to get our child ready.nnWould I stay again? MAYBE, But I’d bring my own pillow
Friendly lady on front desk upon arrival. Room heater was on for us whether intentional or not, was nice to walk into. Clean, quite spacious. We had a garden view studio room. Good sized bathroom. Pretty much had everything we were looking for in accommodation. Bed was comfortable. I asked for extra towels, was no problem. Really enjoyed our stay here. Had a different receptionist on way out who wasn't as friendly as the Asian lady who had originally greeted us but this didn't change our good experience.
Worst night in new zealand.nBooked a dbl room given 3 single beds for a couple.nSome sort of rodent chewing in my wall above my bed.nThe noises from other rooms as in hearing ppl shower and zip up thier bags and coughing and walking around in their rooms.nBeen kept awake since around 1am..not happy.
