Absolutely wonderful! We stayed here whilst getting married at a nearby venue and couldn't have had a better experience. Beautiful location, our room one of the recently modernised suites was fantastic and the staff so friendly, especially the duty managers Tayla and Sunny who went out of their way several times to help us with wedding related queries despite us not getting married at the Edgewater itself. Thank you!
The reception staff were extremely friendly, and the room was very clean and tidy. The living room was right next to a lush green lawn, and it only took a few steps to reach the lakeside. It was a fantastic experience, spending a wonderful time there, and I didn't want to leave.
My husband and I spent two weeks driving around New Zealand for our honeymoon and this was by far our favorite hotel. It's very walkable with a great walking path to downtown Wanaka, but we found ourselves just wanting to relax on the patio and enjoy the ambiance of the property. Highly recommend.
We didn't stay here, so didn't rate the rooms. Walked up from the lake, as it's open to the public. Great view and convenient seating and menu. We only had a cold beer, but good options on the menu that looked good when served to others.
My wife and I went on our anniversary trip to New Zealand and stayed in the Edgewater Hotel. We absolutely loved everything about it. The location, the views, the room, the staff, everything. Knowing it was our anniversary, although it was extremely busy, they gave us a fantastic room which was right on the edge of the lake. We could walk to the lake. They left us a note and some chocolates with wishes on our anniversary. We will be definitely back and I hope the experience will be equally memorable.
