Stayed here for a night over the weekend and the customer service was outstanding! They were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early as our travel plans had changed. The room was nice, bathroom/shower is way too small though I will say. The hot pools are so beautiful and relaxing, the gym is great too! So happy with our stay, wish we stayed another night. I will be coming back here when I visit Wānaka :
The rooms at this hotel are spacious and have a washer and drier in each room which is very helpful. The spas looked inviting but we didn’t get a chance to try them out. The wifi is very sketchy. When we arrived at 3pm the earliest we could get a booking for the restaurant was 8 pm. When we arrived for dinner, there was only 1 other table at the restaurant. I have coeliac disease an auto immune condition which means I need gluten free meals. There was only 1 option on the menu and it was very ordinary. I didn’t feel welcome at all- more a hindrance to them. No breakfast options for me either. If we had been given an earlier booking for dinner, we could have driven into town after checking the menu where there were plenty of options for GF food as we discovered the next day. I know people with my condition are annoying to cater for but every other hotel we have stayed at in NZ has been welcoming and I have eaten top quality meals with no issues getting sick etc
One of the best places i have ever stayed in. 6 minute drive away from the town which is perfect as it is quite. Also has a full on gym that make it perfect as most places barely have a gym even though they do
This place must have been rocking in the 1990's. To their credit there was a lovely kitchen and washer/dryer in the room. The room was very large. The bed was comfortable. It's miles from anything. The restaurant in the hotel is nothing more than bar food. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. The WiFi is almost non-existent. I ended up using the hot spot on my phone. The staff were nice enough.
Lovely stay, nice staff and facilities are good. 20min from Cardrona skifield pinetree carpark. Bring chains just in case you choose to drive up instead of waiting for shuttle. In ski season staff there to help. And plenty to do like distillery in Cardrona
