Love this place. Great fishing spot. And nice picnic spots as well. There is a coffee place too. You do need a Covid 19 pass to get a coffee
Love going there to go fishing, so peaceful and beautiful.
A lovely spot with the ShakerTin Coffee Caravan selling great smoothies - we had a mellow yellow and a green room and they were delicious. Others said the coffee was really good. It's a great place to stop on your walk, run or bike ride, to slump into the bean bags or sit on the beer case chairs and refuel.
Nice place, self-contained camp, lake and beach access and the Taranaki iconic bridge.
Road access to Waiwhakaiho has been completed in recent years which means if you keep driving past the carpark for the famous Te Rewa Rewa bridge, you will get there. It's also connected via cycle and walkway from the bridge on one side and the Fitzroy beach on the other.nNice views of the Waiwhakaiho river heads, the ocean, the bridge with ample parking, toilets, picnic areas
