Waitakere Golf Club

As can be expected being in the Waitakere ranges this is a up and down course and I would recommend renting a cart. A lovely course with diverse holes and good bail out areas for the not so braves like me. Super friendly staff and the course is in great condition. Played it a few times over the years and its always a nive outing.

If you want a lazy round of golf this is not the place to go. If however you are in training for the SAS this is the perfect place to hit a few balls. It's very hilly. Do not walk it unless you are a mountain goat. Quite a few of the holes are blind, makes it interesting but frustrating if you haven't played the course before as there's no maps of the holes on the tees so it's up to you to guess where the green is hiding or at least do homeworkbefore playing. The Fairways are in good nick, greens are good too! For the price of a round its amazing value! The holes are challenging but not impossible the back nine in my opinion is much more playable as it's not on the side of everest also the name of the 9th hole some really pretty par 3s. 15th through to the 18th are really enjoyable once you catch your breath, can see the clubhouse and start to imagine the cold beers on the 19th. Have played twice with trundler, will defo go again but a cart is a must!

I enjoyed the course, it's a good walk , Hilly front nine, back nine is flatter, great setting and the green fees must some of the cheapest around...

Beautiful scenary. Longer than usual length compare to other courses and works great if you like a more challenging course. Lots of uphill and downhill walking. Generously wide fairways for those t-box where you can't see the fairway. If you aren't too fit, sharing a cart will make you enjoy the game a little more.

I love this course. It's frustratingly awesome! It's in a beautiful location. Everyone you meet there is always friendly and cheerful.

A beautiful course! Can be tough to walk 18 in summer, but the course is far better maintained than other courses nearby. Friendly staff, very reasonable bar prices and good food. Never fail to see Rosellas, Pukeko or ducklings!

The Waitakere Golf Club is wonderful place for eighteen holes you can grab a golf cart or walk the scenic course and talk in the stunning views at the end enjoy a drink or to in the club house.

Lovely golf course, amazing scenery, friendly and helpful staff, well maintained and very reasonable pricing. Would recommend.

Tough but picturesque course with some very interesting tee placements. We'll worth the journey out there.

If you want to see if you can live past 60,then get through the first 4 holes and your on your way to retirement,had a great day with the views and sounds of birds.Need to be be a patient golfer to play well. Thank you.
