Based on my recent experience at Urgent Care, I found the receptionists to be extremely friendly and helpful.nThe nurse who assessed me was highly professional, kind, and reassuring.nI was greatly impressed by the doctor who treated me. Not only did he prescribe the necessary medication, but he also provided valuable information on the ongoing management of my issue. Despite the busy environment and long wait times, I was happy to wait, knowing that those with more urgent needs were being seen first.nThank you, team.
Based on my recent experience at Urgent Care, I found the receptionists Nurses and Dr extremely helpful and caring. I took my elderly mother and I am super grateful for the care recieved.nThank you Team.
Thank you Sharon receptionist and the lovely nurse on tonight I would love to name you/blonde short hair. I've been in and out of urgent care for years with my ashtmatic children and this was such a great experience. Thank you for taking care of my little girl. We were lucky to have caught a not so busy night which saved us a trip to middlemore.
Managed to get there in excruciating 10/10 pain from suspected gall stone. Was put straight through into the resus room. Was given an intra-muscular pain killer which didn't work, and anti-emetic for my vomiting I was then left for 20 minutes on my own, pacing the cubicle, unable to get comfortable. Despite pressing the bell multiple times to get attention, it was over an hour before I finally was given adequate pain relief through an IV.nnThe doctor suggested I went to Middlemore for further tests, but when I got there I hadn't been referred properly and would have had to wait in the waiting room, for what they advised could be up to 6 hours. I decided to go home.nnExperiences like this, question the state of the current healthcare status. I'd be very reluctant to go there again.
My brother in law went to check himself checked after finding her had high blood pressure. At home he was clocking 170/105 - 145/92.nnHe was seen by the doctor and told him there was nothing to be worried about. His blood pressure went down to 138/84 at the urgent care but he was told that for his age of 31yrs old anything above 140/90 is a concern. He didn't even suggest to have a blood test done to see common markers like Hb1ac and lipids status until we asked him to.nnIs this normal response from NZ GPs?nnI see online resources say otherwise.nnhttps://www.stroke.org.nz/blood-pressurennhttps://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/reading-the-new-blood-pressure-guidelines
