Thanks Tony Matich motors. Driving through Avondale 2pm Friday afternoon. My Subaru brakes start making that horrible grinding sound. Lucky enough I'm only 1km from Tony Matich motors. They checked the car and the brake pads are done..... In good Kiwi fashion they say no problems and they can have the brakes done by 4:30pm This is awesome, I've used these guys a lot. Very bad service to the customer from the garage owner. My car was given to him to diagnose the major engine issue through the car dealer. But he wasn’t providing the information to us as a car owner. His Staffs are rude to the customers when you ask about your car issues. Can’t deal with these type of people. By far the best mechanics I have been to. These guys are the most honest and professional mechanics I have come across. They aren't just after the money, they want to do a genuine good job. They not the cheapest but they are very reasonable. I've gone a few times with suspected problems, they check them out for me and when there really is no issue they didn't charge anything for inspecting. Once I had a suspected puncture, they inspected the whole tyre and found a small nail. The nail was only lodged sideways in the thread and did not puncture the wall. They removed it for free.

Called in to make an appointment for wof for the folllowing week. He said I can do it now. Wow thats great service I have been taking my car there for couple years just for wofs and one other mechanical issue. Great customer service. Nice people would really recommend

At first, my car was sent to them for warrant. Everything was fine but one seatbelt was faulty. Finally my friend got it fixed and I dropped my car off for re_check. We were told to wait for 30_40mins. After we had lunch and on the way back, I saw my car was on the road. I was told someone took it for test drive which was totally unnecessary because the re_check was only for the seatbelt!! Later I found out the staff used my car to pick up parts from other place. I am really disappointed with their dishonest and unprofessional behaviour.

Pros: quick Cons: Fixing one thing they damaged other things, which cost me $1000 to fix. See attached bill. They changed front bearing and performed wheel alignment $450. But when old bearing was removed they bent flange & Hub. Seems they don't know how to work with manual press When I returned back to them at 12:30pm to ask to have a look - a refuse followed saying we are closing in 30 minutes. Come in the morning. But they were still open till 14:30 when I pass them later. I had to go to the local shop as car was making major noise when breaking. Investigation revealed that wheel is wobbling against breaks due to bent flange. Flange must be changed unfortunately with bearings all together. In the bill at section "PLEASE NOTE: Replaced bent flange on the right front hub" you can see proof. For some reason image is not attached to here. Please, check image on my review at yellow.co.nz or localist.co.nz I suspect that hub is also bent this is due to technical process of extracting old bearing from the flange and I will have to change whole thing again soon.. Not to mention 1 that after their wheel alignment - I had to drive with steering turned about 10 degrees to the left to keep car going straight. The told me that this is fine. It is not too big angle. While in the other shop it was fixed in 1 minute free of charge. 2 When I rang them saying bent flange discovered - would you fix it? Answer was "laughing laughing.. nonsense! Not possible.. laughing.... then he says NO, I believe it is a suspension making noise". I never came back to them... 3 I saw good reviews. And my best friend recommended them to me... But things are changing. They are not as good as before. They are not taking responsibility of their fault. Cannot see my bill attached. Check out other review websites. I will try to attach file again.

Good customer service, friendly and the repairs to my car were fast and exactly as quoted. Relieving. Definitely my new mechanic. Thank you!
