We are situated close to the spectacular Tongariro Alpine Crossing and many excellent walks; Cycle Trails; White Water Rafting; Trout Fishing ; Ski Fields; Golf courses and much more- let us sort an adventure package and transport for you!

Exclusive guest use of downstairs area with own entry, which includes two bedrooms, either one double or one twin, bathroom with loo and shower, large guest living space with 2 fold out beds for larger groups.
Coffee & tea making facilities provided.
Breakfast included in tariff
Free, fast WiFi.
Use of Kayaks (1 double, 2 single) with Paddles and Lifejackets.
Beach Towels.
Deck Chairs for the Beach

The Tongariro Adventures Lodge is a very comfortable and fully equipped house, a perfect place from which to venture out to your adventures. Host Barb is completely knowledgeable about the area and helped us make the most our enjoyable stay. The Tongariro Crossing was our highlight, and with Barb’s guidance, the shuttle and crossing was a great success on a bluebird day. Her recommendation to dine at the Hare and Copper was spot on; it was one our best dinners ever. Thank you Barb!!
Rented a kayak for the day. Owners were chill and quick - had us in-and-out in no time, with good advice on where to paddle. River was lovely! Thanks!
My best friend and I booked a shuttle to the tongariro crossing and Barb was our shuttle driver to and from the crossing. She was fantastic and we both loved the whole service! She was prompt, told us lots of helpful information about the area and asked us what we wanted to drink at the end and provided this for us on pick up. Fabulous service, thank you Barb from Georgia and I. We will be back one day :
We had a lovely stay here with the most welcoming experience in whole New Zealand . A very lovely and caring host. We got a whole apartment for ourself with bathroom, washing facilities ,tv room and bedroom for ourselves. Every morning breakfast, with fresh made orange juice. And it’s a perfect start for the Tongariro crossing
Barb and Mike are lovely and caring hosts and offer an amazing accommodation! We stayed two nights in the boathouse and would wish to stay even longer, felt like at home! Comfortable, tidy, modern interior, beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful area. Far away from touristic crowds. They organize transport to the Tongariro crossing and return. Gave a lot of advice what to do in the area around. Perfect organized, highly recommended!
We decided to stay with Barb and Mike because of their awesome reviews and they lived up to them 100%. They were so welcoming and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. We loved our stay at Tongariro Adventures would come back in a heartbeat.Rooms: 4/5
We were made to feel totally at home. Barb and Michael are amazing friendly hosts. Boat ramp literally 300m from the house. We will be back and telling our friends about this little gem.
The most comfortable stay ever! The bed was glorious and shower pressure incredible! Barb and Mike are so welcoming and had a huge amount of knowledge about the area.
Great owners made me feel very welcome and very friendly nothing was to much problem for them. Rented a kayak which came with everything I needed like life jacket etc and quick reminder and lesson of how to use it and full safety brief along with directions of where you can and can't go etc lake Taupo and the river in Taurangi were perfect for safe kayaking if you follow thier directions. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend Tongariro Adventures if in Omori Turangi area they also do shuttles to Tongariro for the crossing and I think bach rentals to.
Great location giving easy access to Lake Taupo & Tongariro Crossing. Comfortable, clean accommodation - good value Barb & Mike were extremely friendly & helpful with good knowledge of the area & weather conditions at the Crossing They were very keen to make our stay a pleasant one
