Beck Trout Lodge

This is a small three room lodge with common area with fire place. They served meals in a dining room. The facility was clean and the location remote by a stream and short walk to the lake. Tracy and Jason were out standing in taking care of our needs and very pleasant in sharing information and stories about the area. Jason is the fishing guide and he put us on some incredible rainbow trout. This place is a treasure and we will be back. One of the rooms is a suite with hot tub and great view. Dan & June

I hired Jason for a single day back country fishing trip. It was the best day ever!!!! I landed about 10 fish. One 7 lb. rainbow, one 6 lb. brown, three 5 lb. rainbows and the rest were all in the 3 to 4 lb. range. Jason was awesome! Trudged across the river to pull my line off a rock I could get the 4 lb. brown! Hope I can return some day!!!

My son and I came here to Fish. What we got from TroutBeck Lodge was the holiday of a lifetime. Whilst the lodge is small, the facilities including the shared lounge, dining room, fish cleaning area and the location right on the Tauranga-Taupo River are superb. I have never experienced such personal service in any other "stay". Tracey looked after us like she was our mum. She ensured all our accommodation, meals, laundry, food beer and wine supplies were taken care of. Whilst Jason who is an accomplished fishing guide made sure we were properly equipped with the right information on just where to fish and with the right flies. This in particular made the whole trip extremely worth while. Without his expert advice we wouldn't have caught a quarter of the 30 plus trout we caught between us. Indeed if we had employed him as a guide there is no doubt we would have done much better. Now that we know the place and Jason's abilities we look forward to returning in the future. Whilst my son and i stayed in one of the small rooms I must mention the family room which comes with a master room and a two bed bedroom, also the spa located on the second story balcony overlooking the Tauranga-Taupo. Tracey's cooking was superb; we enjoyed local venison which was provided by Jason from one of his local hunting spots. He provides guided local deer hunting and is outfitted with an ATV to get to appropriate hunting spots. As a local trout fishing guide Jason knows many back country spots where huge trout can be taken. In summary this was the most amazing "stay" my son and i have ever had. Jason and Tracey are the most caring and wonderful hosts who will go out of their way to make your stay one of the most pleasant you will ever have. We're going back..... Stayed November 2016

Great place to relax with kids. Nice safe compound and amazing dinners. Good fishing. Lots of lovely thermal baths nearby and beautiful views of the lake just a short walk or drive from the accommodation. We loved our stay!

Fantastic for serious fisher people all the way through to beginners, Jason can do it all. A fantastic guide. Tracey's meals are awesome. Highly recommend.
