My first time in here and it was okay.nMy order consisted a stir fry chicken and vegetables, which was ment to be medium spice level but it had no spice level. It was also disappointing it didn't have any of the usual broccoli or cauliflower.nnThe sweet and sour pork, was a little confusing on the menu, because it said Sweet and sour pork ribs, but it was normal pork pieces as you'd expect in a dish like this.nnChicken fried rice was mainly just rice with very little chicken or vegetables.. not happy with this choice.nnNormally the sweet and sour pork & chicken stir fry would come with a side dish of rice but they didn't and it made the meals seem more expensive by not spreading it a little further.nThe cost of these three meals was $72.00 which is on the expensive end for what we got.nThe menu was poorly written in my view and had selections of dishes all over the menu.nWould I come here again?nNo.
What a Hidden Gem!nTiger Palace truly surprised me. The pan-fried dumplings are a must-try—crispy on the bottom, juicy inside, absolutely delicious. The egg fried rice had that perfect wok hei—smoky, fragrant, and full of flavor. It totally won my heart. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic and satisfying Asian cuisine!
Seems like restaurant recently changed ownership, and unfortunately, the food quality has gone downhill. It’s is now just takeaway food.nnEverything tasted pre-heated and arrived at the table cold. I mentioned to the waitress that my fried noodles were still cold, but all she said was “sorry” and didn’t offer to reheat or replace the dish. Really disappointing experience.
**Review for Tiger Palace Asian Restaurant**nnAfter traveling for 7 hours, we were eagerly anticipating a warm, delicious meal at Tiger Palace Asian Restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations, particularly for vegetarians.nnWe ordered three vegetarian dishes, starting with the egg fried rice, which was disappointingly oily. The tofu and vegetable dish had thinly sliced tofu with mostly bitter celery, making it overly oily, salty, and excessively peppery. The vegetable dumplings were also very oily, and the filling lacked flavor, accompanied only by vinegar.nnThe meal was quite expensive, and we didn't feel it offered good value for the quality of the food we received. Additionally, we forgot to use our accommodation voucher, which added to our dissatisfaction.nnPerhaps the animal-based meals are better, but for vegetarians, Tiger Palace is not a great choice.
Sadly we should have checked the reviews before dining here, as we had a similar experience to others 2 days ago.nThe food is overpriced for the ingredients used. Vege dumplings were mostly corn and cabbage with little flavour, the “vegetable and tofu” dish was mostly celery and onion with thin slithers of tofu. Egg fried rice was good but not much flavour. Chicken gung bao was the only decent dish we ordered.nI think the restaurant needs some improvement to their vegetarian options, especially if they’re going to charge the prices they are.nService was friendly but a little slow for only 2 tables at the time.
