We've been here a few times now, and every single visit has been exceptional.nAs parents, we absolutely love the little play corner. It's packed with toys and keeps the little ones happily entertained, making it so much easier for us to relax and enjoy our meal.nThe food is simply outstanding. There's something truly special about the Brisket with risotto, it's absolute perfection! And if you have room for dessert, the sundae with generous chunks of Snickers is the perfect way to finish an incredible meal.nThe atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and inviting, and the staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the service is second to none.nI genuinely can't fault this place. It's one of those rare restaurants that gets absolutely everything right. No review could ever truly capture just how delicious the food is,.you simply have to experience it for yourself. We can't recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back again and again.
We really enjoyed our meal at the Cyprus Tree. The sharing plates were a great way to try different foods. The mains were really big. The steak was cooked to perfection as was the venison. The chocolate dessert was a nice way to end the meal. Good value for money.
Wow! Blown away by the small dishes. We had, the raw fish, the halloumi fries and my absolute favourite - brisket croquets. The veal was a little on the tough side but stillndelicious. Sir had the lamb and that was melting in the mouth. Don’t hesitate to visit this place if you are staying in Ohakune. We have a few more nights left and I plan to go back a few more times to go through the menu .
Spontaneous drop in for dinner with our two boys aged 7 & 10. Warm relaxing atmosphere, beautiful food highly recommend brisket risotto and friendly attentive staff. We loved the calm of the restaurant and our boys loved the Foosball and hockey tables outside younger kids corner too and the boys kids menu came with a delicious icecream sundae which was an added bonus. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Best coffee EVER!nStrong and hot! Perfect!nFriendly fast service too. Great spot.nI went to The Cyprus Tree for a dessert and coffee.nThe dessert chocolate ice cream with Snickers was just as good as the coffee. A strong chocolate flavour with cream on top.
