The Valley Project

About

The Valley Project aims to raise awareness of all that NEV has to offer, build community ties and promote the well being of local families and whanau.

Story

We are a community-led development project based in North East Valley.
Initiatives run by the project include: the monthly free community newsletter, the Valley Voice; Kai Share which provides a weekly box of food to families and people in need; and our Cosy Homes programme to help create warmer, drier, healthier homes. The area we cover includes the valley, Opoho and Pine Hill.
Many different groups use the community rooms every week, check the website for details and join us!

Mission

Our mission is to sustain processes which mobilise our community’s strengths and resources in locally-led action to enhance the life of the North East Valley Community - its residents, families/whanau and environment.

Enjoy being part of kai share program they run.
An example for all communities. Now with a JP on Saturday.
Great mushroom course
Great community development project that's up to all sorts of community led stuff. They improve the quality of homes, investigate local wildlife, have a flexible community space for hire at low rates, organise events and much more. The space hosts an amazing selection of groups from IT to knitting.
Really nice people that enjoy servicing the community.
