We are the Māori Students Association of Otago University. We are the parallel body to OUSA - Otago University Students Association.

Story

Te Roopū Māori is the Otago University Māori Students Association. Te Rito is the name of the executive team that is elected by the students every year and oversees the operations of the association. Nei rā a Ngāti Scarfy, tō kāinga rua, hei tautoko i a koe!

Support Education:
Student led tutorials, study nights and retreats; we want to give you the best chances to succeed academically.

Social, Sporting & Cultural Support:
We host kapa haka, weekly social sports and numerous other events across the year to support all your needs.

Represent Māori Students:
As a political body we strive to represent the interests of Māori students within the University.

Whakawhanaungatanga:
Our TRM Whare is open to all tauira Māori. We strive to make Te Roopū Māori your home away from home.

Nō reira, nau mai, piki mai!Te Rōpū Māori is the Māori students’ Association at the University of Otago, our association is governed by our executive team, Te Rito. We have soo many support systems in place to help you reach your full potential."
