Absolutely loved it. Customer service was excellent, all staff went out of their way to make our night very enjoyable. Baby dropped her dummy and waitress was straight over to ask if she could wash for us. We asked for nunerous things like salt pepper sauces straws etc and staff were kept on the feet from us but always kept a smile extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and not much of a wait. Had a great spot up on the balcony overlooking the beach. Traveled from the wairarapa but if back in the area we will definitely be back. Owners should know how lucky they are to have such great staff. Best we have had in such a long time and we have dined all around the world. Thanks guys
Ended up here quite by accident but boy I'm glad we did. Friendly service and beautiful tasty meals. Hubby had the lamb shank and I, the chicken filo parcel. Oh so tasty. Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian options on the menu. Soft tacos with Jack fruit was one.
Great place with a different experience. Typical sports bar atmosphere. 3 stars for staff this time, too busy gossiping and on phone. Food was mediocre ribs are way too dry, no sauce and no flavour. Salad is just random veggies without a dressing or any flavour at all. Came back after a great experience last time with staff and food, but this place disappointed to the extent this. Totally opposite side of the experience.
Celebrated daughters birthday on a Friday night, surprisingly quiet even at 6.30pm Cocktails: Martini Espresso - very strong Pina Colada - loved too much Cosmopolitan - heaven Mojitos - no crushed mint leaves, not very well made but can't complain got free ones Starters: Bread & Dips - yum. Ale House Garlic & Cheese Loaf - yum just a bit too greasy with melted cheese & butter. Mains: 4 x Pork Rib meals . Ribs were ok nothing spectacular. x1 Pasta of the day. Little spicy for hubby's bland palette but nothing left on the plate. Dessert was happily packed into containers by staff to takeaway. Service was good, staff friendly and attentive. Parking: Parking was limited, possibly shared carpark with The Gin Trap. Further parking behind building also limited.
First time there. AMAZING food. Lived up to what I had been told. Loved the atmosphere, rustic and relaxed. Great service, exceptional food. Great menu choices.
Disappointed by their fish burger, it was forgotten on the order and then when it did arrive it was fairly poor. Clearly just a basic peice of frozen hoki fillet. They had terakihi as fish of the day, why not use that instead? Server constantly had a tooth pick in his mouth...?
Lovely friendly service, delicious food.Food: 5/5
We went there for dinner, ordered the pork ribs and it’s way too dry, feel they maybe precooked then re heated for too long, tasted like a rubber…
We did start off looking elsewhere for a lunch time meal but were disappointed to be told that there was a 45 minute wait to get a meal. No on the deck dining either as there were 5 couples waiting to sit at a vacant table? Stuff that, popped next door to Speights and had a great time. I really don't know why others bother with the establishments close by, these guys and girls are great.
The food was pretty good here, delicious bread, but the fries were a bit unsalted, the steak wasn't too bad though. Overall a wonderful vibe and westerny touch. Would definitely come again.
