I love this place. It's classic. So spacious. They offer combo of popcorn drink and ice cream. A lot of tables, you can buy chips and other things. I love the chairs, so spacious and splendid. Outside is magnificent with chairs, space and nearby stores. You'll definitely manage to get a parking space
Went to see a movie here recently. Have heard many bad things about the place but I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt - as it is so highly rated. Instantly regretted my decision. As soon as I entered staff were rude and incompetent. Bathrooms were unhygienic and smelly. Chose to put this aside for the movies sake - as I had already paid $40 for two tickets. Entering the cinema it is extremely aesthetically pleasing, chose to sit on the sofas to have a comfier viewing experience. Couches were extremely uncomfortable. As the movie started I instantly noticed the outrageous volume. First time I have ever had to sit with my hands covering my ears for a whole movie, which truly ruined my experience of the actual movie itself.nnIf you have sensitive ears/problems with extremely loud noises/anxiety, I would highly recommend attending a different theatre.nnStaff is rude and the volume will most likely cause hearing damage.
This cinema is really cool and has lots of collectibles and posters from old movies to look at! The chairs in cinema one are very comfortable and spacious and the bathrooms are very clean and have good toilet paper. My only disappointment is that the popcorn machine was broken it happens! and there were no choc top ice creams available today. Hopefully next time I go I’ll get the full Roxy experience. Friendly staff too
So excited to see Robert Patrick. Great small cinema and watched T2 after discussing the career of RP and he was so humble. Roxy has a great ambience and location
A cute vintage cinema to go with friends in Wellington. And has comfortable sofa chairs in the cinema which is also a bonus.
