Awesome public place to enjoy. Art gallery indoor + outdoor. A small cafe and a huge park to walk and enjoy giant native trees in. The path is gravel but in good condition, considering we have been having huge amounts of rain recently. The huge trees made for nice walking, though there is a couple of steep hills. Medium level of fitness required in the park.
Beautiful heritage building overlooking the lush Mount Cecilia Park. Also pretty awesome that there’s no charge for entry unlike other heritage buildings. However the staff can make you feel like you shouldn’t have entered the museum in the first place cos you don’t belong to a more sophisticated group. Maybe put a sign on the piano if you don’t want people to touch it. Or be nicer when you tell people off.
Great space, not alot of info on arrival. Cafe sign indicates the entrance. No info seen re program or 'whats on'. I wandered in and enjoyed the spaces available to see some great exhibits. Cafe has great food and options to sit outside w great views. Small gift shop.
Beautiful place to visit on the weekend with your friends and family. Have a look at the local art work and listen to an occasional concert on the weekend. Bring your dog along to a lovely cafe with the spacious outdoor seating area, grab a cup of coffee and listen to the birds singing in the trees.
Pah homestead Is the ultimate cafe and art gallery experience. An amazing pork Sandwhich was had here today along with a beautiful stroll in the nearby park and gardens makes this the ultimate getaway spot for a quick bite and art gazing Sterling Arnet Kakapo business Sales
Hidden gem, stumbled upon this place after visiting the dog park. Lively art sculptures inside and out, with a nice little Cafe.
A must see heritage locale to better understand the beauty of the New Zealand story. Onlooking ONE TREE HILL, overlooking Onehunga, Mangere Mountain and the Manukau hub. It's not hard to understand why historians speculate the Pah homestead to be the birthplace of the Treaty of Waitangi, as colonial and native truly prospered here symbiotically alike. Living history, preserved for the public, celebrating New Zealands world famous art culture with the Wallace Arts Centre, the vast site captures colonial life like a moment frozen in time, boasting its many features such as native Wetlands, international tree forest, and original horse drawn tracks.
I don't know anything about art, but I had a lovely time exploring the TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre, checking out their art, sculptures, and installations. Many of the things I didn't understand, but I liked wondering what the artist may have been thinking or feeling when s/he created their work. It sits within the Monte Cecilia Park, which has awesome walking trails, beautiful aged trees, and benches. Great for a picnic! There is a spectacular view all the way to One Tree Hill. The Pah Homestead is beautiful, with a good café. I ordered a carrot cake and coffee. Unfortunately it took quite long to come, and the coffee was cold when I had it. It's a great day for relaxing, and possibly expanding your mind
Good art and food. The perfect way to spend a weekend brunch.
Beautiful grounds, amazing historic building, wide variety of contemporary art and all for free. To top it off, nice Cafe with good coffee. Nothing to complain about. Consider making a donation to the trust if you visit.
