With every bite of chowder, you get a mouthful of mussel: that is real chowder! The Mussel Pot order for 2 has a wide selection of differently prepared mussels. My favorite is the smoked mussel. If you have never had a smoked mussel, then be sure to stop by Havelock when you are in the South Island.
Had an awesome experience here tonight. Food was awesome - beautiful mussel chowder and a mixed platter of mussels - yummo. And non seafood eating hubby had a really great steak meal. Totally recommend this place.

The mussel pot restaurant Had delicious fresh mussels at a reasonable price. We enjoyed the atmosphere and decor, and would definitely recommend stopping by, however, make sure you book in advance.
