The Lodge Cafe

Things I liked: The café was clean and the servers were very friendly and took care of my needs as a customer. The iced mocha was delicious and the pepper added on the chips was great. Could be improved: The Thai beef salad - would've been nice if the dressing came in separately as the salad ended up drowning in it. The dressing was nice and spicy though. The pineapple was a refreshing addition, although some of the pineapple eyes were still in the dish and the coriander had a bit of some wilted parts in it. The beef was also a bit rubbery and the noodles were very firm.

We dined here fews times, and would love to go back again. The cafe’s ambiance is so cozy and nice. Their food is so delicious, especially Vietnamese pancakes which you hardly see this dish else where in the Auckland. The owner here is so passionate about her food and willing to go extra mile to make it perfect for your taste. If you are not sure what to order, have a chat and ask her for recommendations. I’m sure she will surprise you with her great dishes!

I've been going to this cafe off and on for the past 8years. Always has a great vib food and service always great. The Vietnamese pancake was interesting I have had few different ones so I was looking forward to it. It was actually quite different very savoury compared to what I have experienced in the past. Very enjoyable and would recommend it. Interesting when we went to pay the bill. The cashier ask how my Vietnamese pancake was. Who we found out was actually the owner and it was new on the menu. We had an interesting conversation re Vietnamese pancake and why they can vary so much. Basically each village would use what was available to them food wise and create. Thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. Also did a great coffee The Lodge is a must visit. It can get extremely busy which is great to see. Parking: Park in the Lodge parking

Went there with 5 friends yesterday and we all loved it! Café is very cosy with different seating options. The open chicken sandwich and iced mocha that I ordered were delicious. Good portions as well. Chicken fettuccine and lamb burger were also very good. Will definitely be back again.

Always a positive experience when we came here. Food and coffee were consistently good. This time I had an open chicken sandwich though I actually ordered a steak sandwich. It turned out to be a nice mixed up. The chicken was tasty but on the dry side. The sauce made up for it. It would have been super good if it was moist. Fettuccine was very good

Service was prompt and professional. Reasonable menu choices for the breakfast time. Big breakfast was not for me as the sausage and hash browns did not agree with me. They replaced mushrooms for an additional poached egg which was nice. They use free range and organic products where possible which is good to see. Tables and chairs are comfortable and different seating types are available.

Came here for a Mother’s Day brunch today and the food was absolutely delicious and the coffee was strong!! The lodge grill was magnificent and left very satisfied

I’m a local and would dine in with friends a few times pics attached. The food and service is usually great. However, on Saturday I decided to get Eggs Benedict for takeaway with the bacon separately. The manager told her employee it will cost extra to get boxed individually which was fine. But last minute I decided I might not eat the bacon anyways so I went without the bacon or extra packaging. While I waited for my order, the manager reconfirmed with her employee if I still wanted the bacon and with my headphones on ps.no sound cancellation she also called me a cheap customer. Not cheaper for the customer but a CHEAP CUSTOMER. Thank you to the guy who served me with manners but I will not be coming back to the Lodge due to the disgusting comment and lack of manners your manager showed that day.

Fantastic cuisine in modern surroundings. Whether you want a cost dining for two a flat white of a family brunch this is a great place to eat. Beautiful view of the city to boot.
