Best Japanese food in Dunedin. Prices are very reasonable. If you in Dunedin you should try this place. Location is perfect and ambiance is beautiful. I will definitely visit Jitsu again and again whenever I am in Dunedin.

All the normal Japanese meals but really one step nicer. You can really taste the difference, fresh, and beeuuutiful. Beef was done properly, full of flavour and tender Katsu curry was full of real flavour, better than what you can make at home Sushi was super fresh, and good texture Service, both servers were enthusiastic and helpful. 5 out of 5

One of our favorite showcase restaurants in Dunedin where we proudly bring all our guests. Some friends swear it's the best ever. Today was no different. We went for lunch, service a bit slow to start with. When the food takes over then you couldn't care for anything else in this world. Agadashi tofu, spicy tofu furai salad, kakaage, miso soup. Everything was as usual 10/10. Fresh salad leaves, well balanced dressings and umami rich flavors. omg this place is absolutely must in dunners. Three of us with 3 soups, 4 dishes and just $49. I could have paid double the amount for such high quality food. Thanks George for running such a fantastic place. Thank you chefs for another outstanding dining experience.

Portion is good. Tempura bento... Disappointed with the tempura. Batter is soft and oily. Not that I expect from a restaurant. Ramen portion is good. Egg and chashu are cooked to perfection. Will not order their tempura set anymore but will try other menu.

Always amazing never disappoints ! Friendly staff and you will never have to wait long when ordering for a pick up as they are always super efficient. Thanks heaps guys. Keep up the amazing work :

It's a very nice Japanese restaurant operated by a family I presume. Quite unfortunately it was hard to find a parking spot because of the construction work going on. But anyway, the food tasted really good. The flavors were great and I was surprised by the portion size. Couldn't finish the whole lot!Food: 5/5

Generous portions of pork added to the flavourful broth, very nice ramen. The noodle is not doughy, price is reasonable. Will come back again

Reallyyy delicious katsu don with spicy sauce & katsu curry!! Also, I think all meals come with a complementary miso soup! Bento also has a good range can include sushi, gyoza, spring rolls, & pickled vegetables depending on the day My whole family loved their meals & they have a lot of vegan options

So impressed with the wait staff. We had a party of 10 and I could feel how stressful that would be. They all handed it like champs! Absolute pros. Very impressed. I've been coming to jitsu for years. It's the best Japanese restaurant in Dunedin.
