Wow wow wow!!! Jiko is a must every time we go. So worth the price. Unique and delicious menu items. Hard to pick the same thing every time. Their bread service is also so filling and unique. One of a kind experience and excellent service and ambience. Malva pudding is a MUST!!
It was an okay experience. Our server seemed tired and ready for her shift to be over. It was a good experience to try but wouldn’t go back. The price is expensive and portions are very small. The bread was good with the butter and salt. I enjoyed the steak and Mac and cheese. My husband got the seafood dish and did not enjoy it . He said it was too tangy and seafood did not seem fresh. Kids meal was small portion. My kids got the steak and it was dry and they were still hungry. We got the Malbec wine and we enjoyed that. We also ordered scallops that were really good but they were room temperature , like they had been sitting there. If you go to try, order scallops for appetizer and steak for entree . We got their most popular dessert and it was good but also small portion.
We came here for dinner on our last night at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Newman was our waiter. He was super knowledgeable with wines and dishes. His suggestions were top notch and his service was absolutely immaculate! I’d give him and this restaurant 10 stars if I could. We’ve dined in plenty of five star restaurants, and Jiko is definitely up there with the top favorites!! Keep up the amazing vibe and deliciousnesses!!!
Adore Jiko! Love the atmosphere and cozy vibes during dinner time. The food we ordered was amazing! Appetizers and entrees were delicious! Nothing was over or under-seasoned. That said, the only downside to this place is the cost. Based on the entrees that I received and tasted, I don't think it merits to be priced the way it is. My party and I agreed that if we ever come re-visit this restaurant, we would only order a lot of appetizers and feast! That said, don't let me stop you from trying the entrees!
What! No way. Yep it's that good. Mac and Cheese Lamb Shank, Flat Bread, and Chicken all phenomenally prepared. Don't sleep on this restaurant, get the reservation and be open to new flavors. I will be back! Kelley from NY did a great job Food: 5/5
We had a lovely evening here. Chelsea, our server suggested great wines and let us taste them before we decided. She made great suggestions for food as well. The wild boar and scallops appetizers were our favorites. The fish of the day and the filet were really good too. The short ribs were unsurprising but solid. The desserts were lovely. The service was over the top.
This dining experience was so good I felt obligated to leave a review. The food was outstanding, presented well, and was a joy to eat. Drinks were varied and delicious. Excellent whiskey and wine selections. Apps and deserts were amazing as well. Waiter's recommendations and menu knowledge was spot on. If this restaurant was near me I would be a regular. If you see this, Thank you Tayler! Vegetarian options: There was a vegetarian stew and salad option that sounded amazing. Almost ordered it myself and am not a vegetarian.
I had such a lovely time at Jiko with my family! The service, decor, and food was excellent as one would expect from a place that is consistently rated one of the best Disney restaurants. As for specific recommendations I would highly recommend the Wild Boar and the Duck Confit Flatbread appetizers. Both were incredible and really set the tone for the meals. Now for the entrees; the Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly, tasted great, and came with a side of fancy Mac and Cheese which is hard to beat. My parents had the Lamb Shank and the meat was so tender it fell right off the bone. I loved it here and I know I’ll be back. It’s obviously expensive, but if you want to have a really nice dinner I would say give this place a shot.
As a signature dining restaurant in Disney world , I thought this place could be better than what we experienced , we had scallop, wagyu Mac and cheese, lamb shank and chocolate dessert. Scallop was great and the flavor was good but wished the portion size a bit bigger. Lamb shank was huge but to me that was the worst dish for the night as the lamb was still a bit gamy and meat was tough. It was supposed to melt in your mouth, the chocolate explosion was fantastic but I think for me the best dish of thr night belongs to wagyu Mac and cheese, it was savory and saucy and delicious I wish I could lick the place, sadly though if a shareable side dish was the highlight I think there's improvement to be made on a meal that cost about 60 to 70 dollars per person. Kid-friendliness: Have seperate kids menu
Delicious cocktails, wines specially from Africa, and wonderfully flavorful cuisine. Got to try the boar appetizer, the lamb shank, and multiple drinks all of which left me wishing I had more stomachs to continue eating. Definitely going back to try even more of their menu.Dine in: Yes
