We had an excellent meal here and the staff were lovely. We were on our way to Lake Te Kapo and stopped off by happenstance. I’m delighted we did. And the great news is that we will be heading back that way in a few days and we will be stopping off again. Highly recommend this place. Very nice.
Travelling through Methven from Australia, our accommodation host recommended The Green Parrot and we were so impressed. The food was delicious and well priced; the service was friendly and the host was responsive via facebook for the reservation. Highly recommend and sad we aren’t staying another night to go back again! The cheesecake was the best dessert I think I have ever tasted!
Even this is small restaurant, most of table are occupied with the local persons and they look happy to enjoy the food and have fun with their friends and/or family. The local beer been recommended is quite nice and the meat inside the burger is quite juicy.
Down in Methven for the long weekend. Booked in here after the hot pools, they were able to take us half an hour earlier than our original booking My daughter and I had a burger each and they were DEVINE! I am a burger girl, but normally my fussy teen is not and I have never seen her enjoy a burger so much! The service was fantastic smiles all round, waiter was great and attentive, service was fast, food was delicious, prices were great, atmosphere was relaxing from hospo to hospo 12+years helping run restaurants in chch you guys are fantastic and we will definitely be back
Just had lovely shared plates...prawns, halloumi sticks best I have ever had and Brazilian cheese scones. Great service. Lovely night for our 40th wedding anniversary
