Our recent dinner at The Good Home in Birkenhead was an experience that left us with mixed feelings.nnWe were greeted by a casual atmosphere that set the stage. We ordered a round of beers, Each of us opted for a different dish. The SATAY BEEF SALAD, boasting marinated seared beef strips, crispy noodles, cabbage, carrot, cucumber, and homemade satay dressing, was a flavorful start. The FISH & CHIP SANDO, featuring tempura battered fish, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, crispy potato skins, and dill aioli on toasted ciabatta, added an interesting twist. Lastly; the classic BEER BATTERED FISH & CHIPS and the hearty LOADED dish with bacon, mozzarella, sour cream, and sweet chilli.nnWhile all the dishes were deemed okay, the clear standout was the Fish and Chips entree. The tempura battered fresh fish, was perfectly executed, paired wonderfully with the crispy french fries.nnDespite an average overall impression of the dinner, the laid-back atmosphere, beer selection; The Good Home a viable choice for a very casual evening out in Birkenhead.

$20 schnitzel night, got the steak one... first time steak schnitzel. Highly recommend. Got the chimichurri sauce. Great pairing. Came with fries and salad which were okay.nThe watermelon margarita special was sweet but good. Don't normally like sweet drinks.

Local friends took me here for dinner. The lamb shank is tender and falling off the bone, but the flavor is just plain, only savory taste and nothing else, which makes it less interesting after a few bits. The seafood and chips are okay, dried fish tasted better than the fried shrimps.

Genuinely enjoyed my experience here, the food was great for the prices and the portions were very decent. I came here late night with 7 other friends and their kitchen had closed but the host I really wish I had her name she was amazing and so so attentive, she asked the chefs who agreed to open the kitchen again for us, we very much appreciated this as we were starving lol! It's mainly because of the way that the host and her colleague treated us and their amazing customer service skills, that we enjoyed our experience and meals and we had a pretty big order too, it was so amazing that they could accommodate all of it. I highly recommend this place!! I'll come back again if she's there

Had a dinner with a promotion of $20 scotch fillet, so yum! But the pork belly tacos are salty, not recommended. Chocolate brownie is hard not chewy. Service is good, checking on us how are we doing but the servers did not bother to get our vaccine pass.nOverall good experience but not the best dine.
