An excellent music venue and bar. Good facilities, atmospheric pub-muso vibe. Just what Dunedin needed.
Great gig, good venue, felt real old school going upstairs at the Cook :
Great sound, great venue
Just rename Captain Took lol great pup best in New Zealand
Such a gross name. Just a dive , yuck. Would rather stay at home for a gobbi.
me and my friends have been to lots of gigs at the Cook, and always have the best time. As well as great music, the bar staff are so amazing, especially the manager she always looks after us and it is our favourite place to go out. Much nicer than any other bar in town.
I like the Cook, but of course I've been going there since the late 70s and it is an icon. The new owners are giving it a really good go as a music venue and good luck to them. Food is good, choices of beer are excellent, staff are friendly. Highly recommend.
Bringing some joy back to Dunedin! This pillar of North D, is revamped to a classy establishment with some fine selection of beers on tap, top notch dining and an warming atmosphere that makes tou feel at home. Upstairs is the a great music venue and throws a mean gig!
Saw my partner play a gig here and was a great atmosphere. Beers weren't too expensive and the staff were friendly
