If I could gave minus stars for the food, I would definitely give. The most expensive breakfast we had so far in New Zealand. Amount of food were ridiculous. Our bread was old and stale and the pancake was not even cooked. Only the woman on the counter was nice and friendly. But nevertheless I would not recommend it!
The food was great and though the cafe was not that busy, the service could have been a lot friendlier, not a lot of smiles and happiness shown. The menu is very good, with lots and lots of variety to choose from, quality of that served and quantity was excellent. Nice and easy access from the main road, with parking available but could get tight if all the shops occupied and busy but currently not a problem. The outside front seating area could do with a lot of paint, plants and made more inviting,especially with spring and summer coming along.
Lovely place. My daughter and I shared a breakfast here. It was huge, it consisted of bacon, egg, tomatoes mushrooms etc, toasted bread. It was yummy. I would have given 3 stars but the tea was awful, it was warm, looked like discolored water. It had no taste either. When you pay that price re: $45, for breakfast and a cup of tea. At least serve a decent cup of tea to your customers taste. Yuck! and too expensive. Would I go back! Yes but to a different Cafe. Its a well situated area though, very convenient for traveller's.
Counted 13 un-cleared tables. Watched every person that came in clear the own table to be able to sit down. Was there a good half hour and didn't see one table get cleared. Even watched a customer clear a few tables for the staff. Heard the woman behind the counter have a go at a customer when she asked to be served. Food extremely average, would never go back.
Do not recommend if you are looking for a filling and nice lunch. The lack of quality in this place shows from the moment you walk in. Service- not great, food- even worse. Ordered the chicken club for $24 and the chicken was basically non existent. The best thing I had was the Coke Zero because they didn’t make it. Good luck to you if you choose this establishment.
The one star rating is for the coffee and the cleanliness of the facility only. There wasn't a great selection of cabinet food. The croissant had barely any filling and it was cooked to a crisp only wanted it heated. The savory scone wasn't fresh and tasted bland. The thing that really turned me off ever stepping foot in this place again was that the woman who served me kept trying to upsell me 5-6 times. I had already told her that's the lot when ordering. I won't be returning to this Cafe again.
Perfect place for a cuppa and breakfast. Food is great, waiting time and price is reasonable. However, staff can be more friendly, a smile goes a long way! Cleanliness wise, a good vacuum on the carpet will be great too..
Coffee was wonderful and the staff cheerful but the food was lacking. Ordered an Omlette for my husbsnd and a Mexican Chicken breast salad for me. The Omelette was small,very rubbery and tough The Salad highly disappointed 6 tiny little bits of chicken in the whole dish for just over $25. Mostly lettuce swamped in dressing.
Waouwly amazingly busy, I like the energy in this cafe. I went for the Rally event and stop by here on those days for strong caffein. I'm feeling sorry though for the lack of staff that didn't match the number of customers and feeling sorry for me to have to wait around 30 min for my sandwiches, hence I gave you guys 4 stars. You guys tried your best and some customers being a d.i.c.k but life goes on, just brush it off. Hope you all the best, see you again next time *Edit: I just realized that I'm being a D... and not realizing you guys hard work as stated above. 5 star indeed.
We decided to give The Coffee Club in the grange a second attempt after avoiding them for 2 years. It was the worst breakfast decision we have made in a long time! The breakfast was diabolical, the eggs benedict was smothered in a very rich hollandaise on stale toast. It was also really expensive for the bad quality of food served!
