The Boatshed Hotel

Everything about The Boatshed is pure magic. The staff is absolutely outstanding. Jonathan and his whole team were the calmest most relaxing people who helped us with any and everything we needed, most of the time without us even asking! From the moment we were picked up at the ferry, we had the most incredible time. The food is outrageously good- both breakfast and dinner were our best meals on the entire island during our 3 days. The room was so lovely, clean, spacious, and the housekeeping staff was so wonderful. The views are amazing, the location is perfect as you are removed from town but it’s so close to walk into town or to the beach. If we didn’t live so far we’d be back multiple times a year!

My wife and I having been staying as often as we can with Jonathan, David and the team for nearly 14 years. We find the experience they have created for guests is fantastic! If you are looking for that special getaway to a place where you can relax and be well looked after, then look no further than the wonderful 'The Boatshed Hotel'. The location at Oneroa, on Waiheke Island, overlooking the beach and bay, is beautiful. Go there if you can, you won't be disappointed.

Unique accommodation with a lovely view, rooms, rather small, but well appointed. Superlative food and service. I very unique experience one of the best in New Zealand.

Outstanding. Without a doubt, the best hotel I've ever stayed at; had a very B&B feel. Amazing views, excellent attention to detail, kind service, great food, and homey but upscale vibe. Worth the price and a perfect, low-key first stop in NZ if you need a day or two to recover from the flight / jet lag. Waiheke is awesome too. Hope to be back at some point.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending six nights at The Boatshed in the Owners’ Cottage on Waiheke Island. We could not speak more highly of the Boatshed accomodation and service. Thank you Jonathan and Mila. While it is a little expensive, what you get for your hard earned makes it all the worthwhile. I will be recommending this place to all of my Australian friends, in particular those who like the 6 star holiday experience without the Asian humidity and airfare costs. Further, Waiheke Island as a standalone destination is amazing; the restaurants, the wineries and the always attentive and friendly NZ service rates our recent holiday a 9.99 out of 10. The Boatshed is a bucket list must do!
