Indonesian food truck in New Zealand. Despite our little food truck, we've got quite big range of food including frozen yoghurt (spring-summer only), homemade burgers with some Indonesian delicacy and custom made cake and cookies.
When we first have this food truck, we didn't have any idea about what to sell. We are not professional chef or qualified baker. However, we love food, we enjoy meeting and serving people. So in the first year, we just had frozen yoghurt and our only food products was Kroket bun.
Kroket is an Indonesian-Dutch deep fried beef spring roll in bun, our style. From the time when it was out, this Kroket recipe has been through quite long evolution process in terms of flavour, texture and shape. From roll bun, croissant, now we put the Krokets in burger bun. Although it has not become a big hit yet, we see that most people who tried it love it and come back for more. Kroket in Croissant also the one who brought us to the People Choice Award at Marlborough Wine and Food Festival in 2017.
Just like us who are homemade cook and baker, so is our food products. Almost all of our food products are homemade (except burger buns, gerkhins and coleslaw). No MSG is used and everything is made with high quality ingredients, just like the way we cook for our kids at home.
Our journey selling cakes and cookies were started when we won The Joint Winner of the Best Themed Site at Omaka Air Show 2017. It was just like a door opening to another opportunity. Although cakes and cookies were not listed in the menu but orders just coming asking whether we can make cakes and potrait cookies for them. Thank you so much for putting your trust in us.
We hope that we can serve food that can touch people's heart. Not only the matter of taste, smell and the look of the food but also we hope that love is felt in every bite.
Firstly, our mission is to prove that small local businesses can grow and survive in this big industrial world as long as we try and never give up.
Next mission is to fulfill the passion that God put in our heart about food. We love food and we have passion with food. We cook and bake with love and enjoy serving people. Every hand is unique and may produce different style of food using the same recipe. We hope our uniqueness can bring our food products to the top of the people's mind when they think about Marlborough culinary destination and baking specialty.
Our last mission is to introduce Indonesian delicacy and also to introduce our baking style to Marlborough (and hopefully to NZ nationwide). We are here not to compete but to fill the gap that this region didn't have so eventually Marlborough will have various and rich culinary destinations that can attract people to come and visit.
