Worst experience today at this pool. There was our favourite but no more! What does it mean of actively supervising the kids when you are the parent stay outside the pool? Means we are not allowed to check our phone, means we must staring at our kids at all time. Where does it mention in the rule? Once you mistakenly touched the phone & have been told by their staffs, all their eyes will be on you. If you move or just don’t look at your kids, there will be someone coming to talk to you.nWe come to this pool every weekend, no one mention this but today, it is absolutely ridiculous.nWe have heard many feedbacks regards staff professional behaviour via overreaction or proving they are always right. I have experienced today.nWe were looking for relax fun moment with our kids but it turned into a disaster.
Very disappointing experience! My son has been to swimming lessons for years, he is capable of swimming in 3 meters possibly more, yet when he asked to swim in 1.8 meters, the lifeguard refused saying he doesn't think he can swim and after one 'test' he didnt agree and didn’t even allow him a second chance. This crushed his confidence and ruined both ours and our friends day. In Australia and Auckland, lifeguards encouraged him and supported his passion for swimming, but here it seems they only want to sit and collect pay without real responsibility. A lifeguard’s duty is to support and build children’s confidence not destroy it. I will never choose this pool again.
this place is perfect for kids to play around! And small spa is nice and warm.nnBut I feel the life guards aren't looking properly.nEverytime we go, some kids are doing stupid things, such as doing bomb in the regular swimming lane or aqua jogging area, bring floating objects/ donuts into those areas. Some of them, they can't swim but goes to the aqua jogging area and they try to swim while there's other people are doing aqua jogging there.nThe life guards see them, but just always ignore the behaviour. Are they just being lazy or it that normal...?nnIt's good that kids have place to play around and enjoy their time but should be under proper watch so that ALL the customers can safely enjoy their time in the pool.
Women’s only Wednesday is pretty discriminatory and difficult for the local disabled community who use the pool for re-hab. There are not many pools nearby, and it can be difficult for people to travel. The fact that they close the pool for men on such a busy day is terrible for the local men, especially those with disabilities and undergoing serious re-habilitation. Thankyou.
Awesome local resource! It's not very big but it's laid out well. The main pool is set up for lanes with a couple for aqua jogging. Very accessible too - it has ladders, steps and a ramp. There are sometimes inflatables for kids. There's also a spa, a smaller kids pool, a wet area for bubbas, and a manu pool. Great facilities too, showers, spacious changing rooms and separate family rooms. Good parking and accessible entry too.nThe Weka room is able to be hired and opens up to the park, great for events and can add on hiring the kitchen too. It's a great space but isn't very well equipped only has basic plates, cutlery and cups.
