Great spot! Pools of different heat levels and a sauna with a view of the beach. Make sure to book in advance before you arrive. You get a two hour time slot.
He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools offers a fantastic experience, especially if you visit during off-peak hours where the pricing is incredibly reasonable – we felt it was great value for money! The changing rooms are very well-appointed and clean, though only one hairdryer was working during our visit. The staff were nice and all the pools were truly lovely, providing a wonderful relaxing soak. My main gripe was having to wait outside in the rain for our time slot rather than in an indoor area, or even the cafe. It would be a much better experience if they allowed guests to wait inside.nI definitely recommend booking ahead to secure your spot.
We went on a freezing cold October day, driving winds, constant rain and thoroughly enjoyed our session in the hot pools. Do visit the dry sauna if only for the view. We also appreciated the heaters in the change rooms

Such a beautiful location - right next to the beach! A much different experience to any other hot pools we've been to. I love that they accommodate both families and couples perfect for date night!. The sunrise sessions are also top notch - a definite must-do for Canterbury locals, and anyone visiting the region. Such an asset to New Brighton
