TE ATATŪ SOUTH COMMUNITY CENTRE
Te Atatū South Community Centre is located at 247 Edmonton Road on the grounds of Lloyd Morgan Lions Club Park. The community centre is the hub for community group HoTAS (Heart of Te Atatu South) and also houses Grey Power (Waitakere branch) and Edmonton Community Kindergarten. The community centre was originally built in 1968 to service an area from the North Western Motorway to Henderson in the west and Glendene in the south. The building was soon extended to add the Te Atatu South library however this library closed in 2006 with the construction of a bigger library in Henderson. Since that time the Te Atatu South Community Centre has been managed by Auckland Council in partnership with the community group HoTAS.
