The 27th Dec the team at this brewery were outstanding under pressure. Due to other outlets not opening they picked up a huge amount of work. The food was great with nothing missing or not up to standard. The bar staff were excellent customer service meeting our every needs. Well done to a very small team especially the young lady serving food, your smile and cheerful smile was fantastic
Where do I start? This is by far the worst restaurant I've dined at. The staff were not the problem in our experience, they were friendly and very nicely mannered, the only thing they didn't do in the start was mention the few things they had run out of from them menu. The food we ordered was horrible. The pizza was dry and not tasty at all, chicken nachos were disgusting, it was just a few nachos with that supermarket fake guacamole and canned chicken which was cold, the portion wouldn't even feed one person. Chicken loaded fries were no better, there was hardly any chicken or cheese or sauce on the fries. The burgers were dry, the chips that came with it were not enough and no sauce except a smear that looked like someone run a finger through the middle quite ugly served on a chopping board. They offered 'kids size' or normal size soda but they didn't mention there's no difference in price. The kids size drinks were tiny. In the end our bill was incorrect. I would never visit this place again.
Food was good and it came out quite quickly. Favorite was the Pork bites. They were so crispy and light. Wasn't soaking in oil at all! It was great! Cauliflower bites were crispy but wasn't our favorite from the lot we ordered. Tacos was delicious but was a bit dry. Everything else was good. Just glad that the fried things we ordered were very light and weren't greasy at all. Service was average.
It took a long time for drinks and food to come out, burgers where burnt but they still tasted good. The vegan garlic bread was great. The staff where could be a little nicer though.
Went for family birthday celebration just last week. We're advised we had to pre order meals as large group. No problem with that. Got there only to be told some choices were not available as they were inundated with customers day before medieval tournament! How could this happen when you've pre ordered and we were 11.30am booking! Food was average to say the least. 2nd time we've been here and definitely the last. Spoilt what should have been a great family celebration.
The space is great, but if you go there to eat stuff get ready for disappoinment. We ordered two different pizzas, they hardly had any chicken, or other topings and were tasteless. Dominoes $5 range os better thsn what this place outputs
If you buy out Boneface I will give you the star I gave them. Do us all a favour. Thanks.
Great spot, great food and a great atmosphere. Had the fish 3 piecesand chips and was great value for money. Would definitely be back
We came for lunch on day where Brewtown was very busy. Te Aro however was not so seemed like the best option to get fed quick. We were right. Got our burger, tacos and kids meal very quick along with some great beers. What let it down was the service, water and cutlery took a long time to come.
Overall it was a pretty average experience. Service was pretty disappointing from the get go. Constantly having to wave down a waitress to order more drinks/food. The wait for the food was also super long and there was no apology/recognition for it. The food we had was pretty average as well especially for what you paid.. the only dish that yummy was the chicken wings and cauliflower starters we ordered a variety of things from the menu too. When we received one of our prawns dish we asked for sauce, the waitress/manager?? then tried to state that the teaspoon smear of sauce was for the entire bowl of prawns... she literally just needed to get us more sauce??? Then when we went up to the counter to pay.. the waitress requested us to go to the other till/waitress to the seen.. once we got there.. the other waitress then told us to go back to the other till??? Which we then had to state to both girls who was going to serve us to pay for our meals. - again no apology or recognition for this. not ONCE during our WHOLE dining experience were we asked how our meals were or if we needed anything else like drinks. If anything it felt like our table was an inconvenience despite the place being pretty empty AND despite us booking a table prior. Just an overall bad experience. We visit brewtown regularly, it’s a shame this place did not live up to the hype as the other bars here. One star for the yummy chicken wings and cauliflower.
