I popped in for a few things with my toddler currently very pregnant. I had trouble with the barcode apparently it wasn’t in the system self-check out, got helped by a lady told her what showed up gave her the item. She went through my packed bag, which I don’t mind, but she kept going back and forth I had 4-5 items then side eyed my pregnant belly. I thought whatever, she goes into the isle I got my item from she comes back and says she can’t find it and asked where I got it from and now she needs to go to the back to find the barcode to make sure? Unsure what made her say that when I was obviously going to purchase the item. Proceeds to walk past another self check out person saying something who then decides to look at me up and down and kinda bend to try look at the under part of my belly? I ended up walking out. I have never been put in that position before I left very upset, especially since I’ve never been to this paknsave before. I found it disgusting. Would not recommend coming to this place. Will be going to Woolworths from now on.
Pak’nSave Petone delivers consistently low prices and a wide range of groceries, making it one of the most reliable supermarkets in the Wellington region. The store layout is spacious, aisles are well stocked, and checkout lines move efficiently even during busy times. Fresh produce and meat are usually good quality, and the staff are helpful when you need assistance. A solid choice for weekly shopping or bulk buying.
Gr8 to see them recycling bottle tops, plastic + metal.nVery good fresh fish.....best in lower Nth Island. Hopefully they'll look into soft plastic collection ?
In from out of town and this was a real letdown. Shabby, poorly stocked, and expensive by Pak'nSave standards, which is saying something given the whole point of the brand is being cheap.nnFruit and vege was fine. Beyond that, gaps on the shelves everywhere I looked. There are renovations under way, but new fittings won't fix empty shelves and a store that nobody seems proud of.nnWhat did stand out was the beer and wine section. Enormous, well laid out, fully stocked. Someone has clearly thought hard about that part of the shop. Shame the same effort didn't go into the rest of it.
Located in a good spot. Currently under renovation of some cooling shelves. Just finished replacing freezers. Car entrance could be better.
