Even though they are extremely busy and probably understaffed, every time I've been to Taranaki Base Hospital I've been treated with kindness, helping to lower my stress levels. Special thanks to the Cardiology Dept staff, and in particular, Hilarey. Appreciate your care and sense of humour.
Great level of service, as always. 2 family members in hospital this week and both treated brilliantly. Great staff working hard under very trying circumstances. Always been impressed by the efforts of ED and Ward staff. Thank you.

A second night in hospital this time Base it’s now 11.30pm and the laughter, yelling out and slamming of doors leaves me in disgust of the ward that I am currently in. Not impressed with the staff member who told me that the nurses are allowed to have a bit of fun. Really makes me want to walk out of here right now, if I wasn’t in so much pain I would do so. So much for sleeping and trying to mend oneself.
I just wanted to give a huge appreciation shout out to the Ambulance staff and Emergency Department staff at Taranaki Base Hospital today for the fantastic care of my mother in law. Thankfully she is going to be ok. Keep up the wonderful work. Glenda
