Swt Moves - it's sweet as! :)

Need something moved or have a TradeMe purchase that needs picking up & delivered in Wellington? Swt Moves caters from very small single-item moves to larger whole-house moves, primarily for students and others on a tight budget.

Hours of operation: we usually work any day, any time from 7am until 9pm. No extra charges during these times for weekends or public holidays! We're usually heavily booked, so it's best to get in early and confirm a time as soon as you can.

Methods of payment: strictly COD (cash on delivery)

Swt Moves is based in Hanson Street, Newtown so obviously keeping it local would save you $$$. We currently have 2 vehicles: a 10-cubic metre box-body furniture truck (internal cargo dimensions: 3.1m length, 1.85m height, 1.8m width), and a 3 cubic metre van with roof racks & towbar for smaller moves.

We also do weekly rubbish collections for very cheap!

Important note: because of the very high number of enquiries, our availability is not guaranteed unless you confirm and book in a definite time for your move (a booking fee applies). An available slot now could easily be filled within the next half hour. We can't hold time slots "just in case" for very long. Please keep this in mind to avoid disappointment and thanks for your understanding!

Win's main point of difference to other movers out there is that he's a genuine family man - happily married with 2 young kids, who is 100% trustworthy & reliable. He has done a lot of carpentry maintenance work at Police Headquarters (180 Molesworth St, Wellington, a very high security building) which requires him to be police-vetted. He's been cleared to do work in their most sensitive areas such as their plant & electrical switch rooms. Therefore, he is someone with a clean record who can be trusted to handle your items - don't take unnecessary risks by getting any random guy who can do it for cheap! Win's previous job before Swt Moves also required that he passed regular drug & alcohol tests (carried out by NZDDA, the New Zealand Drug Detection Agency).

A little bit about Win: among other things, he was a private residential property manager and a Carpenter by trade and has also done a lot of furniture assembly for Freedom Furniture. He can disassemble and re-assemble your furniture as part of the move and can fix any little maintenance issues you may have, time permitting. Do let him know in advance so he can bring any additionals tools along ;)

To Win, customer satisfaction, premium service & communication are everything. He's had an excellent track record with his Wedding Videography business "Happy Day Films" and intends to provide the same high level of service with Swt Moves.

Methods of contact - Facebook messaging (via the Swt Moves business page) is best for the fastest response. Text is the next preference. Usually calling isn't a good idea as it's very hard to answer the phone and take enquiries while moving furniture or driving. It's also not professional to be on the phone constantly especially when customers are paying you by the hour!
