The Weta Cave opened 6 June 2008
The Weta Cave is the hub of Weta's movie tours in Miramar.
It's a movie lover's showcase of props and collectibles and screens a free behind-the-scenes video which makes it an experience in itself.
And entry is FREE.

Screening every 30 minutes, our exclusive behind-the-scenes film features interviews with Weta Workshop co-founders Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor, Tania Rodger and Jamie Selkirk.

The Weta Cave is where our Self-drive tour starts and finishes. Although we recommend booking your tickets online, they can be purchased at the Weta Cave counter if you are just dropping by on an off-chance! But be prepared for a wait, especially during summer.
HIGH SEASON
PLEASE NOTE We anticipate the Weta Cave to be exceptionally busy during the summer months. We strongly suggest you book your tour at least three days in advance to avoid disappointment. Please be advised that parking may be difficult and allow extra time as we cannot refund or exchange tour tickets if you miss you tour time.
