Huge yummy paua fritter. Nice terakihi. Chips on the small side. Can't believe the people moaning about customer service at a fish & chip shop! if you need someone to tuck your napkin in for you you're gonna need to pay more than $3-5 for a piece of fish.

Semi regular go to. Works burger is filling. Like the donuts and milkshakes from here. Have added a pic of menu as prices have increased recently.

Only leaving a 1 star because of the poor customer service. You should do better. Food is about a 2-3/5, possibly not the worst takeaway I’ve eaten but definitely a bit below your average takeaway. I had to eat here because I was short on time and didn’t want the other food offered in this small location. Just learn some basic manners, I understand if English is not your first language but I’ve had even the most broken-English takeaway owners offer me utensils and napkins before, and attempt to smile. Didn’t feel very welcome, almost like I’m in a prison cafeteria and the guy was forced to make me food. I asked if I could add a tomato and a sausage to a meal and instead of replying adequately, what I got was, I quote “no…look menu, only menu!” Try “sorry no tomato but can add sausage for $2.20” because I had to find out on my own that you actually sold sausages on their own despite you saying no.

First time visit. Quick and fresh take away food.

Food is amazing and great prices but the shop could use an update. It's pretty old now but still very clean.Food: 4/5

They are friendly and nice enough how ever I am bitterly disappointed in quality of the fritters, so much so I am making this review. The corn fritters had maybe 8 corn kernels, maybe and and the cheese and onion fritter showed no evidence of having either cheese nor onion. As proud Swanson locals we will not be returning nor will recommend to anyone. Charlatans comes to mind.

Burger was average corn fritter was not...hardly no corn all batter they say home made maybe they should change there recipe...one bite went straight to the bin

Husband and I stopped in here after a trip up to Bethells beach. We were going to go to Carl’s jnr but opted for a good ‘ol fish ‘n’ chip takeaway shop instead. No regrets. Burger patty went all the way out to the edges of the bun in my Hawaiian burger. The fish in husbands burger had awesome crispy batter. Washed it all down with a thick shake which was only $4. Can’t get this kinda quality or value around Remuera. Will definitely stop in again.

Very nice and structured place, clean and neat with a nice mixture of fast food smell, this creates a handy and welcoming atmosphere, where customers enjoy there stay. The food is nicely seasoned and very well done according to my standard. Worth every star!

Really gone downhill in the last few months.....chips used to be nice not soggy and under salted and the spring roll went from freezer to microwave for 4mins then to deep fryer, it was so gooey and slimy on the inside it was disgusting. Used to be our local fav, unfortunately not anymore.
