Was pretty surprised that my fish and chips were tasty and not oily. Good temperature it was made to perfection and quick did not have to wait too long just the price and few dear menu items but well worth the visit and will come again surely

Probably should have got two lots of chips though prices for potato have gone up. Steak and egg burger lacking tho. No hamburger pattie alongside steak which I’m used to. Reasonable

So yummy! Good prices. Reasonably fresh fish. Chips had nice seasoning and weren't over cooked. The oysters were to die for! Chicken nuggets were nice and crunchy but the meat was soft on the inside. Yummy milk shakes. The batter isnt yucky and thick. Honestly I can't fault them. It was delish! They were also really friendly! We'll definitely be back.

Disgusting. Scallops were not even scallops. At best they were sting ray. Terakihi was disgusting. Basicky aviid this place at all cost. There hygiene rating is an “A” but I can’t see how. The food I got went in the bin. Picture is what they call a scallop.

Ordered for 8 with a selection of fish, a hot dog, squid rings, scallops and $10 chips. Most of the order was a good standard the only issue we found was the scallops was just batter and $10 chips barely served 8 people which was a surprise

The chips were a bit hit and miss, ok one day and brilliant the next. I did however have the nicest piece of snapper, crispy batter and perfectly cooked fish, small but tasty. I don't recommend the burgers though, very disappointing.

Best chips! i like their savoury salt too. Fish is always fresh we always get the gurnard with crispy batter. They make their own springrolls, chunkier filling than most, very good.

Unfortunately there is nothing Big about Big boy takeaways. Ordered the chicken and cheese burger for 4.80 amd got two miniscule pieces of chicken and almost no cheese. Lettuce, tomato amd sauces were also barely there. I gave them a second chance and ordered the cheeseburger, yes a better price at 3.50 but this is also reflected in the fact there is almost no cheese or anything else in the burger. Wont be going back.
