Aaron Lock is one of New Zealand’s most experienced Surfing instructors and he has a great team of experienced coaches to ensure you have a fun, safe, experience.

We offer surf lessons and coaching for surfers of all abilities, from Beginner to Advanced. We also offer surf lessons for school groups. Kids surf lessons and holiday programmes.

We offer Surfboard and Wetsuit Hire. Surf camps.

Absolutely loved my lesson at Learn to surf. The initial instruction from staff was great and every time they gave me a bit of advice, I noticed the difference right away. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn to surf or even for a fun afternoon activity.

I've been surfing for a few years but was struggling to get my pop up take off right. Leathy gave some advise and observations and everything has come right. Thanks

Fantastic day out! 10 of us hired boards suits and a 2 hour lesson with Leathy and Brad, then used the boards for another couple of hours. They were great teachers who had us engaged and keen and all of us got up surfing! So helpful in the water too. Thanks again !!

Good place in sumner beach where you can rent surfboards and wetsuits. Open until 5pm. Prices for rent board 25 without wetsuit. 30 with wetsuit
