greatfantasticamazing food. Nice taste and flavour that even i want to cry because it same as home. Every time before we back to hamilton to eat and waiting the rush hour finished. All staff friendly and efficient.
Their peiking duck was not fresh and the skin was not crispy. Portions were small and service was really bad. Won’t come back again.
Worth to go Duck is good, remember to order first
wednesday night half price for the roasted duck
Good food - and half price Peking duck on Wednesdays!
Very disappointed. Peking Duck wasn’t served by the Chef as was seen in photos in Hua’s Restaurant website. The whole duck ordered has been sliced & served in three different plates. However, we wouldn’t know whether it was from the whole duck or half a duck. Other dishes ordered also not tasty. Overall, it’s the worst Peking Duck restaurent we have eaten. The management should take out those photos of the Chef preparing the Peking Duck as it would mislead the consumers.
Hua's Restaurant is an authentic Chinese cuisine, which serves interesting signature dishes. The taste of the food is quite delicious and flavorsome. However, Hua's Restaurant loses two stars because of the costly price, despite the questionable quality of the ingredients. The salad included oddly soggy vegetables, the fish and crayfish on display by the entrance seemed dead, sauces were clumpy, among other issues that would make Gordon Ramsey scream. If you are interested in a unique Chinese cuisine experience, I would say Hua's restaurant is for you. If you also do not care about what goes into your body, that is.
First, this place has the best Peking Duck in town--the chefs are both from Beijing Peking!, so that helps. The other dishes are generally well done, also--the fungus is some of the best I've had in Auckland, etc. The service is fairly attentive as well; only once was I made to wait past the booked time for a table, but that was on Chinese New Year, so I can't complain too much. I do have some issues, however: one is the cleanliness in the bathroom. Ghads! Why can't they keep it clean? There's splattering on the wall, wet floors every time, and a urinal that looks like it hasn't been cleaned. The carpets in the place look dirty as--I think they're the same ones that were there in the last restaurant, before Sunnytown opened up. And last, I have a few times smelt cigarette smoke wafting from the back--either from the kitchen chefs smoking out the back and vacuum effect, or from a private room where people are being cheeky. Who knows. But I don't hold these things against the place, really, because overall it's still a classy joint with reliably good food.
It is a Chinese Zyechuen restaurant. Famous for Peking duck dishes which are vry good. They also serve quiet a lot of spicy dishes. Some of them can be very spicy and can lump your lips & tongues after eating them. Choose very carefully
Great food. Great place to laugh and talk. I’ll be coming back.
