Sundowner Motel

Small room but has everything traveler needs. Small kitchen, microwave, fridge, electric stove. Great water pressure : as others have noticed. Front row rooms have nice view from shared porch. Back rooms don’t have much view and because bed is right in front of a wall sized window/slider you have to close it for the night - else everyone passing and driving by will be looking right at you.

Great location. Good service, however was in apartment 2 and there was a dead bug under the tv and several bugs 3 live 1 dead and a cricket crawling around the shower and in bathroom. Have attached 3 photos for reference.nWas told they have come through the windows but I'm not convinced.nnWas refunded 1 of the 2 nights I was booked to stay as I had used the facilities. I felt this was a fair request.

We really enjoyed staying at the Sundowner during our short stay in Greymouth. The owners, TJ and Abby, were very accommodating, giving us a lift both from and to the train station. They were also helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations. The rooms were immaculate and well appointed. We had a balcony room which was definitely worth it. It provided a nice view over the city and out to the water in the distance, and a bench provided a sunny spot to relax. Recommended!

Fantastic stay! Than gov so much. My mum and I had a great 2 nights in greymouth. Highly recommend this tidy, friendly safe hotel. Close to everything. And even collects you from the train!nLovely breakfast. Attentive to my diet! Thanks so much!
