Large comfortable quiet rooms with clean full kitchen facilities and bathroom, large comfortable bed, sky TV. The owners are very friendly and obliging. Food & drinks: Some of the local takeaways close earlier than stated.
The bed was comfortable and a good night sleep was had. They have full sky and a sky box with a decent TV. A spa bath. Clean and tidy. I would return.Rooms: 5/5
Service and staff were excellent. We loved the biscuits! Unfortunately beds weren't great, and we found them to be a little short. It's a good idea to check the fridge temperature, ours was set to the warmest setting and our freezer food all melted.
Found ourselves stuck after the train was cancelled, hosts Kevin and Lynette were wonderfull! Gave us a run down of local events and places to visit. Even offered to give us a ride into town. Well kept units which had been recently renovated with new carpet and new paint. Unit had a spa bath which was well received after a long wet day. Highly recommend

My three colleagues and I stayed at Gables for 1.5 weeks. Lovely rooms, great facilities & delish cookies too. The host Kevin was great. I'd stay there again if I ever go to Greymouth.

The hotel itself is really great, the beds are comfy, the facilities were really nice, we had a spa in our bathroom. We booked a room for 4 people on booking.com, and they allocated us 2 rooms, one for 5 people and another for 2. We paid in reception before we saw our rooms, went back and got a refund on one room, but couldn't get the commission back. I suggest you book directly for this motel.
We has a pleasant stay. Beds were comfortable and the apartment was very clean and well appointed. The only drawback was that we were sharing with a friend, and we had to go through the shower room to get to the toilet, which is a bit inconvenient in the mornings. Otherwise a good place to stay. Recommend it.
The accommodation was okay but I was very disappointed that the staff did not wear any PPE while dealing with customers and servicing the units. We are in the midst of an Omicron outbreak and I felt my concerns were dismissed by the staff.Rooms: 4/5
