Sugar & Spice Cafe Upper Hutt

It was our first visit and will definitely be back! Very lovely owners who are happy to have a chat and the style/character of the cafe completes the package. Food is fantastic and service is quick. Lots of cabinet food choices available as well as menu options. Street parking is plenty so you’ll never end up having to lap around the streets looking for one. They do close later in the afternoon and are closed only on Tuesdays so it’s a rare chance to miss out on that sneaky late afternoon coffee/snack.

For me this is a little hidden gem... I always get a warm welcome, even though I only get there once every 4 to 6 months. My coffee and food order is remembered and was from the second time on.nRun by a lovely couple, with fun sense of humor and banter...nGreat feel to the place.n

What a wonderful place. The food was amazing and the owners are some of the best people you could ever hope to meet. If you are in the area you must stop in and grab a bite to eat and tell them hi from the Osness family.

We absolutely love this place and the staff are honestly some of the nicest people you will ever meet.nThey are happy to assist in your wild drink needs, ours was a thick shake with coffee added, it was the highlight of our trip.

I personally would give more stars if there were the option!! Absolutely amazing staff who made sure our experience was top notch! We booked out a table for 5 and were blown away by the service and food quality. Will definitely be returning for another beautiful meal :
