Welcome to ‘Upper Hutt’s Premier Experience’ – Mayfair Cafe and The BoileRoom Wine bar.

Story

Situated in Central Upper Hutt, a small red door opens up to an expansive space which used to house the Mayfair Theatre in the 1900s. Owner Kaushal Adeshara only uses the freshest local produce. Mayfair Cafe combines Kiwi and International sytle cuisine influenced from all over the world.

The BoileRoom Wine bar coined its name being the room that used to house the old boiler that heats the old historic cinema. Like the BoileRoom Facebook page too https://www.facebook.com/BoileRoomBar

Mayfair Cafe is located in an old movie theatre and the decor is movie-themed to match. Good food including a brunch and lunch menu, counter food and homemade pizza. The coffee is ok and our service was friendly. Nice surroundings to enjoy a long lunch.
Rhubarb and chocolate muffin was tasty, didn't taste much like rhubarb but I enjoyed it. Cafe is spacious and warm with a fireplace on a cold Winter day. I enjoy the nostalgic theme with the old cinema seats and equipment.
Absolutely loved it. First time I've been there in about 10 years and it's still as good as ever. Great food, great service, great price and very friendly staff. Keep it up. I'll be back for sure.
I had previously reviewed Mayfair as 4 stars but I have to say, they've stepped it up based off my experience today. Me and my girlfriend were blown away with how good the food tasted and looked. We were expecting decent and got excellent, good job to those working the kitchen and front of house.
A hidden gem! Great atmosphere. Service and food was excellent. Wasn't crowded at 11am. Stayed for well over 1hr enjoying company in this hideaway. Thank you team!
The ambience was awesome, the staff really friendly and the food was delicious. They were wonderful and catered to my granddaughters dietary needs with no problem! Looking forward to going back there!
Always a wonderful family experience, whether I'm meeting with business contacts, mum's and bubs or brunch with the girls, everyone is always so welcoming and the service is always exceptional
Absolutely splediforous. Eggs bene came out in 10 - 15 mintes and was bloody brilliant.
