We have ordered seafood chowder, Moroccan lamb salad and roasted pork belly. The chowder was great, lamb was a bit too oily. Service was great tho, and atmosphere we came in the Sunday evening and it wasn't overloaded. Would recommend if you want a nice dinner
Worst seafood chowder ever. Absolutely disgusting. A bowl of hardened cream, sour mussels that are probably gone off, crab sticks and miniature prawns the size of buttons yet hard as rocknAvoid this gimmick place.nn1 extra star for the good chorizo chicken pasta. That was nice.
Good atmosphere and friendly staff. We ordered chicken nuggets & fries and chowder, quite a good choice for afternoon snacks.
I think it was busy on Sunday and service was not very attentive to customers.nSeafood chowder soup base was too dense. Burger was ok
Stumpers has traditionally been great on service and food. We stopped after a long morning out and all we wanted was two cheese scones and a coffee. The scones were magnificent- quite up there in terms of a cheese scone.nWe were told there would be a 5-10 minute wait on the coffee. No problem I said. 18 minutes in I made a polite inquiry just as an extra helper came to the serving area. All she did though was apply two squirts of perfume to her neck and wander off again.nnI counted 10 people couples in the cafe. At 24 minutes our coffees arrived and I think they forgot the shot of coffee. 10/10 to the wait staff for the speed and apologetic nature. But lesson here is if you’re going to advertise coffee, then let the Barista make coffee and not clear tables, make milk shakes and everything else. Or maybe the lady with the perfume could get in and lend a hand.nnYou couldn’t risk going back another day over the holidays because time is precious.
