Short visit at Whitianga town and had lunch here as the price seems better than the next door restaurant and it didn’t disappoint us.nMixed meat platter is great portions for two and pulled pork pizza and seafood chowder also amazing buffalo chicken wings with perfect spicy , the low alcohol passion fruit cider is so refreshing love it! The waterfront view is relaxing nice table setting.
We were looking for green-lipped mussels and Stoked served up EXCELLENT Thai curry mussels that hit the spot!nThe menu had such a wide variety that we had a difficult time choosing meals. We started with the tempura pickles and jalapenos and were served generous portions, hot out of the fryer paired with very nice sauces. Hubby had a couple of beers while I enjoyed a nice sauvignon blanc.nThe atmosphere was very comfortable with leather chairs and heaters for the glassed-in patio. The staff was friendly and helpful in making our decisions. The prices were quite fair with our entire order NZD$90 including three drinks.nI highly recommend Stoked Public House for a great meal in Whitianga! Definitely try the Thai Curry Mussels and you will not be disappointed!
Great vibe! Popular eatery. We went at about 6pm on a Thursday night late March and dined outside on the deck under an umbrella with a great view of the bay. I had lamb rump with pumpkin purée. Yum. Also salt and pepper squid which was beautifully cooked and delicious. And my husband had seafood chowder with toasted bread. Really good
We had lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The food was fresh, and cooked and presented well.nI enjoyed the home made Cumberland sausages and my partner enjoyed his tempura fish and chips even though he is usually a beer battered fish and chips guy
We were recommended to eat here by a local, so we headed here. Overlooking Mercury Bay, this place is a pretty cool spot. The food, however, was alright. I ordered the veggie pizza - some of the mushrooms were undercooked and not edible. The crust was crunchy and good. My partner had the brisket burger - it was OK. The meal cost $140. In my opinion, this place is overpriced for the quality of food we had.
