St Patrick's College is the oldest Catholic boys' secondary school in New Zealand.HistoryFounded by Archbishop Francis Redwood SM, St Patrick's opened on 1 June 1885 with nine day-boys and twelve boarders. The College represents one of the earliest educational establishments of the Society of Mary (Marists) the religious congregation whose members accompanied Bishop Jean Baptiste Pompallier to New Zealand in 1838, and who played a prominent role in the establishment of the Catholic church in New Zealand. The first members of staff, Irish Marists who came principally from the Marist College at Dundalk, established a number of Marist colleges such as St Bede's College, Christchurch and St John's College, Hastings in New Zealand.Plans in 1931 envisaged the College moving to a more suitable site at Silverstream in the Hutt Valley, but a high demand for education eventually led to a split: the original establishment continued and the boarding section moved to become St Patrick's College, Silverstream, thus allowing room for the expansion of day-student numbers on the Cambridge Terrace site in central Wellington city. From that time the city college has borne the nickname "St Pat's Town". The two separate Colleges bearing the same name have developed a shared history, and a healthy rivalry; they share the St Patrick's College Old Boy's Association also. In 1979 St Patrick's College shifted from its Cambridge Terrace site to a new facility near Kilbirnie Green in Evans Bay.

Best school ever, I highly recommend it for the yr9's. They have a variety of options and sports, and the teachers there are truly nice and kind. And like I said before, this school is highly recommended for you guys, and from me, I hope he makes the best choices in life
I have been attending some church services inside their chapel. Facilities definitely above average.
I love it if u are thinking about sending your son there you should because the facilities are great and people there are even better. Besides it's alot better than it's brother college St Patrick's silver stream and Wellington collage too. The school is twice as small as Wellington collage which can be better with smaller classes and more room for the boys to hang out in. Should go to if your a kid tho
My friend Claudio and I love this school. The teachers are one of the best in the Wellington region. TOP CLASS!. Would totally recommend your young man to attend this school. The boys at St pats are accepting of any Ethnicity's, Pronouns, Age etc.
orthodox better ask patriarch bartholemew of hellas who win in fight papa francesco haha no great schischm kick out roman
2018 The education in this school is decent but the attitude of the students are a bit messed up. Also, the thing they call brotherhood doesn't really look like it's there and it should not even be the reason why a kid would go to this school. I can't really say this is fully a catholic school because the students in this college swear and that is also the same with some of the teachers that are in the staff right now.
Send your children here if you want to be a bad parent, or if you want your kid to develop a substantial, exhausting and life-consuming foot fetish. 5/5 - Would recommend
Just go to WC it’s not at better. This school smells of consecutive lack of McEvety shields Sincerely, Batman
Awesome the 1st XI through to the final in a nail biting semi final against Wellington College 24 - 23.
This place has the worst speed bumps i have ever experienced in my life. Driving here is the worst part of my week, every week
