St Leonards Vineyard Cottages

About

Boutique private self contained accommodation in amongst vineyards and rural farm surroundings.

Story

Michele and Marcus welcome you to St Leonards Vineyard Cottages. The homestead is a classic New Zealand farm house built in the 1880s and was once the focal point of a large farm complex. The Homestead and Cottage Accommodation now form a unique collection of traditional buildings that have retained their original charm and yet provide up-to-date facilities. The views are wonderful and the settings private. We live in the Homestead and welcome visitors to share our little bit of heaven.

The Woolshed cottage, the grounds and the owners are just delightful. It's just what we wanted in our farmstay in Blenheim. Animals! Scenery! Vineyards! Eggs! Milk and OJ! Fireplace! Hot tub! Comfy beds with a full kitchen! We stayed for 2 nights but wanted to stay for longer. The only thing that was missing but not at all a deal breaker is a washer... after our 6 day bike trip, that would have been helpful but it was not at all a big deal. Rooms: Stayed in the Woolshed with 2 bedrooms. comfy beds with bed heaters. Delightful cottage! Nearby activities: Many good restaurants in Blenheim. Lots of great vineyards. We also did a few 5K runs around the area
Lovely, peaceful location. Great breakfast items provided. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Nice, friendly hosts. Easy for accessing the wine trail and cycle hire. Gorgeous views from The Stables with animals and amazing fruit trees as an added bonus.Rooms: 5/5
Cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was in The Stables. Natashya and Jonathan have thought of everything you might need, and we enjoyed meeting the hens who provided the eggs for our breakfast. There was also yogurt, bread, butter, milk, and jam in the fridge. The bed was so comfy, and looking out the windows you saw vines, lemon trees, lavender, sheep, deer, and beautiful gardens. You feel like you are way out in the country, but wineries and restaurants are close by. Even though it was October, it was warm enough for a dip in the pool and hot tub. We stayed two nights, but we wish we could have stayed even longer.
The pictures don’t begin to show just how perfect this place is. We stayed in The Stables, which had sheep and chickens and deer right out front, lemon trees bulging with fruit you could pick and the most gorgeous sunset over the vineyards and distant hills. The hosts were wonderful, the cottage had everything we needed to self cater, and despite the town and vineyards being just a short drive or cycle away, we felt as if we were deep in the country with just birds and animals to break the silence. A wonderfull break, and we would not hesitate to book again if we return to this region.
Wonderful place to stay. Such welcoming and friendly owners. So peaceful and quiet with gorgeous views all around. The accommodation was very comfy and cosy. Perfectly decorated for the location and setting. Stayed for 5 days and hired bikes for getting around and as a location it was perfect for visiting vineyards and easy to get into town if needed.
WOW!!!! If you are looking for a different experience to a hotel this is it. Located slightly outside Bleinham we actually ate in every night. The setting is amazing and so relaxing. We honestly didn’t want to leave. Highly recommended.Rooms: 5/5
We loved our time at St Leonard’s Vineyard cottages, our only regret was we couldn’t stay longer! The staff were lovely and helped us book activities during our stay, in addition to providing good advice regarding what to do. The cottage had everything we needed and the surrounding gardens were beautiful. I would love to stay here again.
Wow! It is really better that I though it wpuld be after looking only in the Internet photos. We lived at the little house called Cottage and it was Perfect. Very rustical but still luxurious. The host was amazing and the place just had the heart that you would not find anywhere. They will got you their local products to try and the view is stunning. We also enjoyed the peace here and the jacuzzi in the evening was a really good idea after long days.
Highly recommend this as the best go to place in Blenheim if you want a relaxing holiday with almost everything you could want and more. The views you wake up to are spectacular, you'll never want to book another motel after staying here. I only gave it a 4 star so they can keep working on making it even better.Rooms: 4/5
